KGHypnobirthing is a complete antenatal course. You will learn about how your body is designed to give birth, and how body and mind can work together during labour and birth. The course contains breathing techniques, visualizations, affirmations, practice relaxations, and further suggestions for labour, so you can stay relaxed and support the work of your body during labour. You will get information on how to navigate the maternity system and on how to communicate with medical staff, so you can assess the risks and benefits of possible or suggested interventions and make informed and self-determined decisions regarding them - this way you will be prepared for any eventualities that may arise during labour and birth. Ben and I wanted to write to say thank you so much for guiding us so brilliantly to give our second child the welcome into the world that we wanted.
Our daughter Lou was born on thursday morning, at home, in the water, just as we had envisaged, but actually the reality was far better than we could have hoped for. For me, the fear of repeating any part of the 4-day labour and epidural/forceps birth of our first daughter 9 years ago was strong, especially the fear of tearing badly again. But trusting in the information and wisdom of you and your hypnobirthing course, and practising together with Ben every day for the last month of my pregnancy, meant I didn’t tear at all this time.

It was almost 10 months ago that I put your course to use and I wish I had used it for my first two pregnancies too.
For me, before I read, and then watched, your course, I assumed hypnobirthing=hippy and un-scientific. I am very happy that, thanks to the recommendation of my sister, I persevered and instead I found your course highly relevant, informative and valuable. I went into my third delivery the most empowered and informed, I felt confident to stay home longer and felt the most present and engaged with the pregnancy. Instead of fighting to survive the contractions, I understood the function of the surges and used the breathing techniques to keep myself focused and calm and relaxed (or as relaxed as possible!).
As I was preparing for the birth of my first child, I stumbled over "Hypnobirthing" several times, but was a bit sceptical and thought it might just be something a bit esoteric. However, in the aftermath of giving birth I saw many testimonies of mothers on social media that described how well it had helped them in achieving a really positive birth experience. I chose to train as a KGHypnobirthing teacher not only to teach the method to others, but am also preparing with it for the birth of my second child at the moment. I have learned that Hypnobirthing is actually a very logical method, and KGHypnobirthing is indeed a complete antenatal course, preparing you very holistically for your birth. It is designed to support you as best as possible in having a physiological birth, but at the same time gives you an entire tool kit and the information to deal with unforeseen events during labour and birth. There are many positive birth stories of women who have used it for their births - you can read some of them here! Many report that they needed no pain relief, and that their births were swift and without any complications. There is no guarantee of that, but your chances of it are definitely increased! KGHypnobirthing has also been of great help for many women who were fearful of birth or had previous birth trauma. If this is you, join a course, and turn your fear into joyful anticipation!
